We know how tight money can be at uni, because we've just been there ourselves. Stavi is the discount platform we built to fix it. We partner with Swansea's local businesses to give students exclusive discounts at the coolest spots across the city, and help you discover the best of what Swansea has to offer in the process.
From nights out on Wind Street and in Uplands, to coffee in Brynmill and Sketty, Stavi covers everywhere students actually spend. Clubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, bowling alleys, barbers, salons, gyms and more. Wherever your week takes you, Stavi has a discount waiting.

Stavi is £1.99 a month. Less than a coffee on campus. For that, you get exclusive discounts across Swansea's best local businesses, designed to save you up to £40 a month on the stuff you'd be doing anyway.

Both of Swansea's universities are covered: Swansea University and UWTSD. Stavi is open to any current student of either with a valid .ac.uk email address.

Stavi launches for Freshers Week 2026. From the start of September, you'll be able to download the app from the App Store or Google Play, register with your .ac.uk email, and finish a quick sign-up in a couple of minutes.
In the meantime, you can sign up for launch updates on our website.

Easy. Once you've downloaded the Stavi app, you'll be asked for your student email (your .ac.uk address). We'll send a verification link straight to that inbox. Click it and you're in. That's it.

If the verification link doesn't arrive, hit the Resend button for a fresh one. If you're still stuck, drop us a message via Contact Us on the verification screen and we'll sort it.

Yes. We re-verify everyone at the start of each academic year. It means our Partners know they're giving discounts to current students, and it keeps the Stavi community what it's meant to be: real Swansea students, getting real student deals.

Yes. Stavi is for everyone with a valid .ac.uk email, whether you're starting your undergrad, finishing a PhD, on a placement year, studying internationally at one of Swansea's universities, or back as a mature student. New or returning, Stavi is for you.

Two ways. Browse the Discover page in the app to filter by category, what's trending, or what's in Hot & New. Or open the in-app map to see Partners around you in real time. Found somewhere you want to go? Tap "Take me there" and we'll fire up directions straight to the door.

When you're at the till in a Partner business, find the Stavi Pod (it's usually right next to where you pay). Hold your phone close to it. Whether you're already in the Stavi app or scrolling through something else, the Pod will pick you up, verify your membership, and a confirmation screen pops up automatically. Show that to the cashier, and the discount is applied.
For some Partners, the offer is redeemed via a code in the app instead. If that's the case, you'll see the code on the offer page in Stavi. Just show or enter it at checkout.

A small NFC device installed at the point of payment in every Partner business. You'll spot it by the Stavi branding, which we've made hard to miss. When you tap your phone against it, the Pod verifies your membership and unlocks the offer in seconds.
If you can't find the Pod in a Partner business, contact us through the app and we'll chase it up for you.

Yes. Each Partner sets the terms of their discount, and you'll see them clearly on the offer page in the Stavi app before you redeem. Some offers run all day, some are off-peak only, some have time-of-week restrictions. Whatever the conditions, you'll know them upfront.

Depends on the offer. Our Partners get it, money is tight, so most offers can be redeemed as often as you like for as long as you've got a valid Stavi membership. A few are one-off deep discounts. You'll see each offer's redemption terms in the app before you use it.

No. Stavi offers are exclusive and designed to give you the best value possible, so they can't be stacked on top of other promotions. Unless the Partner specifically says it's okay, of course.

Every Partner has signed up to honour the discounts they list on Stavi. If you ever have trouble redeeming, contact us straight away through the app and we'll sort it.

Offers are designed to work for students, which means we update them regularly to keep the value sharp. Some are seasonal, some rotate, some are limited-time. Keep an eye on the Hot & New section in the app to see what's just landed and where you can save the most this week.

In the app, head to Profile > Account Details. From there you can edit anything you need to change.

Cancelling is straightforward. In the app, go to Profile > Account Details > Payment Information > Cancel Subscription. No phone calls, no forms, no fuss.

Yes. Push notifications are how we let you know when new discounts drop at your favourite spots, but if you'd rather opt out, head to Profile > Settings and toggle them off any time.
